Allen & Page

Norfolk based Allen & Page are one of the UK’s largest animal feed manufacturers.

A complete re-brand to bring the dated 75 year old branding up-to-date, and to ensure the company’s image better reflected their ethos.

Considerations

  • To not alienate the loyal customers of this traditional British manufacture whilst developing an image which fits with the company’s green, organic and natural ethos.
  • Packaging needed to look traditional and natural whilst being bright and engaging to make sure it stood out in a dark feed store or barn.

We created a new brand identity for the established traditional feed manufacturers. The use of the branch and neutral earthy colours reinforces the natural ingredients used in their products. All of the packaging for the Allen & Page Horse feed range was created to have a rustic and traditional feel with each product given it’s own distinctive colour. With so many products, they had to stand out clearly being identified as part of the range.

The new brand identity was implemented across all promotional material used by Allen & Page including adverts, exhibition stands.

The use of natural images and earthy colours was carried across onto the new website design ensuring the traditional aspect of the company was evident here. The new website features a search function and stockist locator to create an enjoyable shopping experience for customers. The new Allen & Page website was built on a bespoke CMS platform. This then linked through to a micro ecommerce site on which consumers can purchase products from Allen & Page and their sister companies.
